Welcome! If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably one of my family and friends - thank you for cheering me on! Or maybe you’ve been intrigued by my story. Whatever the reason, I hope you discover the profound love at the core of the Miracle of Santarém. My hope in writing Threads of Gold has always been about inspiring more love and grace in the world through this ancient mystery. I know by collectively bringing more love to our world, we make it a better place, so thank you for reading!
~ I pray that love and grace enter every part of your life with more love and grace right behind it filling all your days! ~
If you know me, you know how much I love the unfolding of little miracles in life ~ the gentle nudges slowing us down to experience their grace.
One of those nudges came just last week in the form of a conversation with a dear friend. She pointed out that I needed to share the beauty in my story nestled between point A (writing the story) and point B (finding a publisher). So, here are some of my nudges, my miracles, getting me to print~
Crazy timing: After writing the very last words of my manuscript in May, I opened my emails to start my workday. In one of the emails was an invitation to a pilgrimage to Fatima, with a day trip to the Santarém miracle ~ the miracle from my story! Pretty nutty timing and one beautiful golden thread calling me back to Santarém ~
A special pilgrimage: The pilgrimage was centered on the love at the heart of the Eucharist and prayers of healing for the whole world. Such a heartfelt golden thread tying the miracle to the world today ~
Strangers to friends: The friends I met in Fatima read my story, encouraged me, and spread the word to other guests. These very special people even sat down for a book reading before our trip to Santarém and clapped at the end of every chapter! My rallying golden threads!
A single moment: Upon returning home, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with several of my newfound friends and just received the picture above from one of the sweetest, spunkiest 80-something year olds I’ve ever met. It shows a very excited me during the applause at my reading ~ definitely a golden thread in this single moment of joy ~ so grateful for all these new friends!
Up ahead: I’m in the process of printing a batch of pre-published books for the holidays, so reach out if you’d like to know when they arrive!!
Wishing you an infinity of single moments of joy and miracles this holiday and always!
