Here we are—closing out 2025 and the first year of my author era! Looking back at some heart-skipping milestones that fill me with gratitude as December wraps up …
Welcoming Christine Holland—a childhood friend of my daughter—who has come onboard to help with all-things digital and social. Giant-sized gratitude abounds here! She has gently nudged me onto Instagram and gave my website a beautiful facelift.
A chance conversation during a physical therapy session led to the most thoughtful review of Threads of Gold: Miracle in Santarem by Sister Doris-Louise. She “gets me” and expressed perfectly what I was hoping to convey. Her words will remain with me always.
Research for book two led to heartfelt interviews with the most remarkable men in the priesthood. I finally thought about recording these at the very last one! This happened to be with Father Spitzer, though, who is internationally known for his contribution to the study of the intersection of science and faith, so he was a good one to think of recording! I have that recording here, as well as a short interview about his new app, MagisAI.
Another unexpected gift was being asked to be on Empowered by the Spirit (Relevant Radio) with Deacon Steve Greco and Katie Hughes! I got to share my story behind the book, my hopes for the series, and what’s coming next.
Finally … on a personal note, my daughter and son-in-law welcomed their first child (my first grandchild), which is the biggest blessing of all!
As I think of all of these beautiful gifts, I remember they didn’t just happen … there were stops and starts along the way… and just like Maria in Threads of Gold, I needed (and still need) to remain hopeful, courageous, and patient as I continue this journey. I thank you all for joining me and I pray that hope, courage, mercy and beautiful threads of grace follow you through your whole life.
God Bless You All,
